Legal & Practical Response to Child Abuse Workshop

This course will assist Educators, Organisations and Individuals to comply with their legislative requirements and meet duty of care obligations regarding Child abuse. This is an Induction course and should be completed prior to Levels 2-7.

 Definition of child abuse;

 Types of child abuse;

 Indicators of child abuse;

 Early Intervention and Prevention tools;

 Federal, State and Civil laws pertaining to child protection and civil liability;

 Child Protection requirements under relevant National Quality Frameworks;

 Reporting of child abuse;

 Managing disclosures;

 Recording and documenting.
