Out of School Hours Care

Our approach to Out Of School Hours Care (OSHC) is to provide a high quality environment that is safe and gives children the opportunity to learn and play. The Grange Community Centre OSHC programs activities aligned with our Philosophy, with an emphasis on the children   having fun in a relaxed and safe environment.

Our Service offers a wide range of fun, stimulating and appropriate experiences that reflect real world experiences and home settings. This helps encourage a sense of community amongst children, facilitates leadership skill development and allows the children to practice social skills in a supporting caring environment.

Programs and Activities

Our plans and activities are aligned with our Philosophy and are underpinned by the values of the National Quality Framework and ‘My Time Our Place’ which includes educational principles to develop appropriate and engaging activities for children in our care.

We take a collaborative approach to establish and implement each activity in order to engage children and allow them to take ownership of the program which creates a sense of comfort and belonging. We aim to ensure programs develop organically and reflect the individual and group interests of the children. Supervised activities   include, but are not limited to:

  • Cooking

  • Drama

  • Art and Craft

  • Music and Singing

  • Indoor and Outdoor Sport

  • Puzzles and Games

Operating Hours

BEFORE SCHOOL CARE: 6.45am—9.00am

After School Care: 3:00pm—6:30pm

These programs are available from Monday to Friday during school terms, excluding Public Holidays and Grange P-12 College Curriculum Days.

Eligibility for Care: Children must attend the Grange P-12 Primary Campus.

Fee Information

Before School Care: $19.85

After School Care: $33.08

Casual Fees

Before School Care: $21.85

After School Care : $35.08

Child Care Subsidy Applies to all sessions held at The Grange Community Centre (if eligible).

Enrolment Fee: $50 (payable per family)

Enrolment Process

  • Contact the Centre by phone or email to discuss enrolment, to ensure we have suitable vacancies.

  • Click on the ENROL NOW Button and Complete Enrolment Form for each child

  • A member of our team will contact you in relation to your Enrolment and arrange payment of your $50 Enrolment Fee and provide you with additional enrolment information.

Notice Period

Families wishing to cancel care on a permanent basis must provide the Service with 2 weeks written notice. The notice period will begin on the date the notification is received. Fees are payable for this period.

Drop Off | Pick Up Procedure

At 8.30am Educators walk the children to the Grange P-12 Primary Campus and remain onsite until the bell rings.

At 3:00pm Educators collect registered children from the Grange P-12 Primary Campus.  The children are to meet the OSHC Educators in the foyer of the gymnasium.
